Drake Water Festival May 11

  Water Festival will be headed to Drake on May 11. This annual event held in cooperation with Dakota College at Bottineau and Project WET teaches 5th and 6th graders about water science, conservation, and best management practices by demonstrating how water interacts with humans and the natural environment within North Dakota’s watersheds. Fall LETRS 2 for K12 Educators Registration Now Open

  Registration is now open for the fall LETRS 2 training scheduled to kick off August 31. Rugby Cohort 1 will run from August 2023 through April 2024 with face-to-face meetings falling mostly on Thursdays.  LETRS® provides K-12 educators with an in-depth understanding of the science behind teaching literacy and gives them the background and depth of knowledge to teach language and literacy skills to every student. Designed to be the cornerstone of a multiyear, systemic literacy improvement initiative, LETRS® is the most respected comprehensive professional development course for instructors of reading, spelling, and related language skills. The Traveling Art Show Kicked off in Harvey

  The NCEC art educator PLC hatched a plan to create a traveling art show to display student artwork around the region. The exhibit was put on display in Harvey starting Monday, April 3 and will travel around the region spending a week in each school. The show will arrive in Rugby April 10, then move to Dunseith April 17, St. John April 24, and finally landing in Bottineau May 1.
